Terms, in plain English

These are the terms every job runs on. They are short because there is nothing to hide in them.

Paying for the build

Half of the build fee before I start, half when the site is live. Live means: on your domain, your Google Business Profile pointing at it, and submitted to Google and Bing. The price on the quote is the price on the invoice. If you ask for something outside the quote, I will price it before doing it.

The monthly fee

Starts the month after launch. Paid monthly by card (Stripe) or standing order. It is rolling: cancel with 30 days notice, no reason needed. If a payment is missed the site stays up for 30 days, then goes to a holding page until it is sorted.

Changes within your monthly allowance are done within two working days of you asking. Hours do not roll over. Anything bigger is quoted first, at £60 an hour, rounded to the half hour.

What you own

The domain is registered in your name with your email on it. If I register it for speed, it is transferred to you on request at no charge. If you cancel, you get a zip of the finished site and the domain. The site is yours to take anywhere.

Words and photos

You supply and approve all the text, prices and photos, and you confirm you have the right to use them. One round of changes is included in the build; more are billed hourly. Stock photos I license are licensed for the site only.

What I promise, and what I do not

I promise the site is fast, correct, findable by Google, and looked after. I do not promise a position on Google; nobody honest can. If the site goes down I fix it the same day I notice, and I check every day.
